Furthur, the brainchild of Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, is gearing up for the second leg of their U.S. tour, which kicks off on Nov. 3 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H.

Furthur tickets are also available for gigs at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes Barre, Penn. on Nov. 5; Nov. 10 at the Madison Square Garden in New York City (with an additional afterparty at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill); Nov. 16 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio; Nov. 21 at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis and more.

The duo may not have made a Furthur album yet, but that just means that they’re not tied down to a ‘latest and greatest’ setlist. Concertgoers will get a varied sample of Grateful Dead hits, as well as solo hits.

Former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh are gearing up for a month-long tour throughout the U.S. as their new band “Furthur.” The group also includes Jeff Chimenti, John Kadlecik, Jay Lane and Joe Russo.

Furthur was formed in 2009 after Weir and Lesh played together for the first time in four years (since the Grateful Dead split). A few months later, the duo announced their band. Their debut performance was in September 2009 in California. They followed that performance by a handful of dates and live rehearsal sessions, but their 2010 tour will be the first (hopefully of many) for the band.

The tour kicks off on Friday, Feb. 5 in Florida and runs throughout the U.S. before wrapping up on Monday, March 3 in Oregon.

Bob Weir shows no signs of stopping to take a vacation this summer. After a much anticipated reunion tour with the remaining living members of The Dead this past spring, Weir is ready to take to the road again with his other long-time musical collaboration, RatDog.

The tour will take the band coast-to-coast through the end of September 2009, starting July 5th with a show in Columbus, OH, with fellow blues rockers The Black Crowes. Some of the dates will be opened by the band MOE.

One of the coolest stops on the tour is at The Gathering of the Vibes Music Festival, July 23-26, 2009, in Bridgeport, CT. Check it out - who couldn’t use some good vibes?!
